Scorpion Monster

Creatures and monsters can give many hours of fun if you enjoy painting them... and I personally do. Who doesn't?
For this one, I started sketching some basic shapes and silhouettes, then I started refining a couple ones to see where they could bring me; after some macking around, I searched some useful reference images to help me out, until I had a more refined design. After that was done, it was time to bring in some colors and shading, add some texturing, trying things out, basically making my way throughout the piece before arriving to the final adjustments. What a beast.
